Sport Field updateUnpublished After experiencing consistent above average temperatures, windy conditions over the weekend and no precipitation for the last seven days, the majority of sports fields including multi-purpose fields, green space and baseball diamonds and softball diamonds have dried out consistently. Sport field maintenance crews have been working diligently to get sports fields prepared for the beginning of the season and the City can now adjust the start date and start allocating fields this week.
As of May 6th, 2013 all multi-sport fields, green space, baseball diamonds and softball diamonds (with the exception of James Girgulis 1, 2, 3, 4 and Parc Canada 3) will be available for league and tournament play on Thursday May 9th. The diamonds at James Girgulis Park and Diamond 3 at Parc Canada Park will be available Monday May 13th.
Parks Branch anticipates all line painting of sport fields will be completed over the next two weeks weather permitting.

Grab your friends and come hang out at the Shaw Centre, Saturday, June 1 from 9 – 11 p.m. for an evening dedicated to you! Come and enjoy break dancing, an open gym, live music, games and swimming. Sport & Splash Camp
Run, jump, kick, throw, skip, slide, dive and dash! A perfect full-day camp for kids who like to have fun and keep active! Campers will participate in a daily recreational swim and try their hand at a variety of non-competitive sports, games and activities. Available for children aged 7-9 and youth aged 10-13. This week long camps are offered at Shaw Centre and Lawson Civic Centre. Only $150/week! Extended drop-off and pickup is available. Saskatoon Forestry Farm Park & Zoo Centennial Fair
Let’s Meet at the Fair! On Sunday, May 26th take a step back in time with the Forestry Farm Centennial Committee to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Sutherland Forest Nursery Station.
