Rink Painting – Come Volunteer this Sunday!
On Sunday, September 22 at 1:00 pm the Wildwood Community Association is painting the outdoor skating rink boards at Bishop Pocock School. Your whole family is invited to come help contribute to our community and enjoy this fun, hands-on, and kid-friendly project!
Details:
- We will provide paint as well as a handful of brushes and rollers, but if you have some old paintbrushes or rollers to use we would take all the help we can get.
- Please wear old clothes, and be ready to help paint a fresh coat of white onto the boards before the outdoor rink season begins.
- The forecast is a clear and sunny day, but if it happens to rain we will cancel and announce another day to paint.
You may have noticed that this summer we also had new chain link fencing around the rink installed and the rink surface was levelled. Thanks to Madsen Fence for doing a great job for the community rink and thanks to the City of Saskatoon for assisting in our rink improvements through their grant programs.
If you have any questions or want to reach out to help with the rink in the winter (flooding, clearing snow, etc.) we would love to hear from you at wildwoodrink@gmail.com.
Thanks and hope to see you on Sunday at 1:00 pm!
