Board of Directors General Meeting

September 21, 2009

Attendance –Gary Baba, Erica Florizone, Jorgen Lorenzen, Alison Kraft, Todd Marien, Terry Fusco, Chantelle Diakuw, Sherralee Hanson, Nicole Eramain, Jerrett Bergovich

– Meeting called to order at 7:32pm

– Agenda approved by Gary Baba

– Adoption of minutes from June 2009 general meeting

– Motion to approve budget by Todd Marien, Seconded by Sherralee, CARRIED

Other Business

– No Community Consultant Report.

– Keith Weisgerber has made signs for sporting activities and they were placed and Terry Fusco has removed them. Suggestions to reuse signs for other purposes.

– February general meeting in conflict with Family Day. Move meeting date to February 1, 2009.

Finance Report – Todd Marien

– Motion to approve July 2009 financials by Todd, Seconded by Nicole, CARRIED

– All operating grant are in from the city of Saskatoon.

– Motion to approve August 2009 financials by Todd, Seconded by Sherralee, CARRIED

– Motion to approve September 2009 financials by Todd, Seconded by Terry, CARRIED

– Motion to amend cheque signers from Susan Mogenson to Chantelle Diakuw by Todd, Seconded by Gary, CARRIED.

– Association currently has 70 memberships.

Indoor Activities Coordinator – Erica Florizone

– There is a possible volunteer for the football coordinator. Erica to follow up with an email to line up for the spring session.

– Possible volunteer for the basketball coordinator.

– Youth Yoga – Canceled

– Youth Volleyball – 6 registrants – Coach Brianne Free

– Ultimate – Canceled – Association had grant for $120.00 which Erica has and she will return to association.

– Tennis – 9 & under has 5 registrants, 10-12 has 5 registrants, and 13-adult has 4 registrants.

– Kinder Soccer – 15 registrants

– Jazz dance – Canceled

– Family Floor Hockey – 4 families registered

– Family Swim – 2 registered out of 4 committed.

– Erica will assume some responsibilities, however she is done. Allison Kraft has volunteered as interim indoor coordinator.

Communications – Sherralee Hanson

– Thanks to all. Working on website. Information will be on going and current. Ad should be up coming. Facebook page is up.

– Fall supper posters are out.

– All emails to Sherralee and she will forward.

– Ads Info – Contact Steve Atkinson(Media).

– ‘Membership Form’ to be posted online.

Soccer – Terry Fusco

– On target with numbers

– One U6 team, Two U8 team, One U10 team. 34 registered children.

– Could use 3 or 4 U8 kids to fill in and make teams even.

Basketball –

– No report

Civics –

– No report

Softball –

– No report

Social – Gary Baba

– Fall Supper is ready to go.

– Principal would like to know about setup for the gym.

– More advertising this week. Sherralee to make flyers for delivery. Volunteers will deliver.

– There is an invoice due on September 25, 2009.

Rink – Jorgen Lorenzen

– Graffiti taken care of.

– 16 foot rink section to be replaced.

– Require new shovels

– Ad on Kijiji for Rink Supervisor.

– Require volunteers for shovelling.

– Invoice Kinsmen Tackle Football $500.00 for rink shack usage. Once payment received send letter informing that their organization is no longer allowed to use shack anymore. Todd to invoice and draft letter for boards approval.

– Rink lights need to be looked at. Jorgen to phone for estimates.
