Board of Directors Meeting

March 15, 2010

Attendance – Jorgen Lorenzen, Chantelle Diakuw, Sherralee Hanson, Nicole Eramian, Jerrett Bergovich, Art Lord, Keith Wiesgerber, Alison Kraft

– Meeting called to order at 7:36pm

– Agenda approved.

Adoption of minutes from February 22, 2010 Directors meeting. Motioned by Jorgen Lorenzen Second by Keith Weisgerber. CARRIED

Other Business

– Table to move the annual general meeting from September to November. Table to move the fiscal year, currently June 30, 2010, closer to the annual general meeting.

– Fall registration night to be the last full week of August 2010.

– A request to the city of Saskatoon has come from the zoned Lakewood Soccer organization to build a storage shed at Wildwood Park. More details to come.

Community Consultant’s Report – Art Lord

– Report as attached.

– Sherralee, Chantelle, and Jerrett to attend the Indoor Activities Coordinator workshop at the Willoes on March 31, 2010.

– Allison to submit the winter 2010 program summary sheet by March 31, 2010.

– Treasurers Workshop on May 10, 2010.

– Saskatchewan Lotteries Grants have been approved.

– Wildwood Community Association Bylaws are available for review.

Finance Report – Todd Marien

– March 2010 financial report as attached.

– Todd Marien not in attendance. Any questions regarding the report can be forwarded and the report will be tabled until next meeting.

Indoor Activities Coordinator – Alison Kraft

– Fall program schedule is due by May 31, 2010. Alison, Sherralee, Chantelle, and Jerrett to organize the fall schedule.

Communications – Sherralee Hanson

– No report.

Membership Co-ordinator

– no report

Soccer – Terry Fusco

– no report

Basketball – Jorgen Lorenzen

– Basketball tournament from the previous weekend a success. Association paid for the teams registration.

– Sherralee to contact basketball coordinator for fall registration.

Civics –

– No report

Softball – Keith Weisgerber

– Two teams registered for the spring program.

– New uniforms will not be available for upcoming seasons.

– Anticipating a good year.

Social – Gary Baba

– No report.

Rink – Jorgen Lorenzen

– Rink is wrapped up. Everybody is paid. Awaiting quote to fix the rink.

– Recommended the rink be painted this summer, perhaps by community service workers.

– Questions raised about the public and separate school boards making it difficult to access rinks in the future. Boards may be requiring the fulltime employment of a rink supervisor for duration of the season.

– Letter will be drafted to communicate with the football association their intentions for the upcoming season.

Secretary – Jerrett Bergovich

– House to house campaign to attract volunteer positions upcoming, weather permitting. Date to be announced.
