COVID-19 Golf Course Closure

Published by WCA on

A notice from the City of Saskatoon:

For immediate release: April 23, 2020 – 4:45pm

FI20-1196

Reminder: Golf Courses Closed Until At Least May 15

A reminder that golf courses are currently closed following the Public Health Order (March 20, 2020) from the Government of Saskatchewan requiring the closure of all recreational and entertainment facilities – do not enter the premises at any time. This is particularly important for us to be able to get civic golf courses ready for a potential opening date of May 15. By staying off the golf courses you will allow our staff to safely complete the landscaping and other work they need to do to ensure you can have a safe summer playing golf.

Reminder: Physical Distancing Even When Outdoors

We recognize the importance of getting fresh air and exercise, especially as the weather gets nicer. That’s why spaces including parks, trails, dog parks and public squares remain open. But please remember to maintain a safe, two-metre physical distance away from others even in outdoor public places, as shown on this information sheet. Failure to practice safe physical distancing may result in a loss of public access.
