City expands service announcements

CITY EXPANDS SERVICE ALERTS TO INCLUDE LANDFILL, GARBAGE COLLECTION AND SASKATOON TRANSIT

The City of Saskatoon has recently added three new Service Alerts.  Saskatoon residents can now find out about interruptions to City services for the landfill, garbage collection and Saskatoon Transit.  These Services Alerts, along with Traffic Detours, Power Outages & Updates and Saskatoon Leisure Facilities, help keep residents informed about cancellations or service disruptions so that everyone can appropriately plan their daily activities. Civic services for Family Day Monday February 17 2014

The following are the hours of civic services and facilities for Family Day on Monday, February 17, 2014:

City Hall will be closed.

Parking meters will not require payment.  Motorists are required to move their vehicles within the time period shown on parking meters, allowing for a constant turnover of parking availability.

Municipal Impound Lot will not be releasing vehicles to the public.

Saskatoon Landfill will be open with regular winter hours of 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Garbage and recycling collection will take place as scheduled.

All Saskatoon Public Library locations will be closed.  Please note that all Library locations are now open on Sundays until May 18, 2014.

Mendel Art Gallery and Saskatoon Civic Conservatory will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.  Admission is free. (more…)

Open houses on Garden & Garage suites March 4

The City of Saskatoon Neighbourhoood Level Infill Strategy was prepared by Brook McIIroy Inc and Seimens Koopman Architects. The Strategy recommended strategies to facilitate infill development in the established neighbourhoods in Saskatoon.  The Strategy recommended allowing for  the development of garden and garage suites.
